Salter 9119 MiBody Analyser Scale with USB PC Body Monitoring
The Salter MiBody Analyser Scale is the most comprehensive body analyser scale available in the UK today. As well as determining your weight, body fat, body water, muscle mass, BMI and BMR readings, the MiBody Analyser Scale comes with USB PC Data Tracking that allows users to store their results and transfer them to their computer for analysis and future reference.
The MiBody has been designed with this in mind to help the user understand the total health status of their body and keep track of changes over weeks and months, a feature that is especially important to those on a diet or training for a particular event like a marathon or triathlon.
The MiBody Analyser Scale comes with a 12-user memory and can store up to 30 results per user. Simply transfer your health data from the MiBody Analyser Scale to your PC using the USB stick (included) and view your stats and chart your progress using the easy-to-use MiBody software (also included), compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
The MiBody Analyser Scale features a large easy to read LCD display and with its toughened safety glass platform offers a maximum weight capacity of 31st 6lb (equivalent to 200kg or 440lb). 2.Mode two – for people who engage in moderate activity (30 minutes, 3-5 times a week)
3.Mode three – for people who are highly active, engaging in moderate to vigorous exercise (60 minutes, 5 times a week)

- This scale is just what I wanted. Review by C Crosby

This scale is just what I wanted. It shows not only weight, but body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, body water percentages, BMI and BMR (basal metabolic rate). You can download the information using a memory stick (supplied) onto your computer and see your statistics on a chart. If you are exercising, it's encouraging as weight may stay the same but body fat might be decreasing while muscle mass increases. - I love my Salter MiBody 9119! Review by Gerbee

I love my Salter MiBody 9119! I have had mine in constant daily use since 2008. Prior to this I used to weigh myself weekly and find it frustrating why my weight would fluctuate so much from week to week, when my food diary showed I was often eating pretty much the same amount of calories. However, since getting this scale, I have been able to jump on & off it daily (without bothering to look - I don't need to be that obsessed! ). Then every couple of weeks or so I load up the data into the PC, compare it with my food diary for that week, and I can see exactly what has been helping & what's been hindering my weight loss efforts.Performance / Ease of Use Value for money Quality of product
For example, a few months of this showed me quite clearly that on the days I skip breakfast (a regular occurrence before), I never lost weight, and often put on - regardless of sticking to exactly the same calories as breakfast-included days. Maybe not rocket science! - but still an eye opener when I saw how much of a benefit making this small change brought (not sure I would have believed it to be so true without the hard evidence in front of me!). The MiBody also stopped me being discouraged when I started exercising regularly last year, because I could see the muscle mass was increasing and fat percentages dropping in the weeks when my overall weight didn't move much.
What I love about these scales is they allow me to see clearly how my body responds to the daily choices I make, and that has made a huge difference in my weight loss progress. (Posted on 06/01/2012)

Salter’s new MiBody scales are promoted as the most comprehensive body-analyser scales available in the UK, and they’re certainly interesting. If you’re confident around a computer and spreadsheets (or know someone who is) and have a keen interest in tracking your weight loss or fitness, then this may be something for your Christmas wishlist.Performance / Ease of Use Value for money Quality of product
The scales have an impressive list of features that can track your weight, body fat, body water, muscle mass, body mass index (BMI) and basal metabolic rate (BMR) reading. They can store up to 12 different users, recording 30 results per user. But the best features are the USB stick and computer program, which enable you to transfer readings to a PC, where you can analyse your progress.
Set-up instructions are fairly clear and simple, and it takes only a few minutes to install the software onto your PC. It does take practice for an average person to get used to transferring the data, but it's simple once you’ve had a few attempts.
Once you’ve downloaded your results you can pull up data, tables and graphs that show your weight loss and fitness journey. It also gives you an insight into how different times of the day or month affect your weight and readings, as well as how your BMI and BMR change when you lose (or gain) weight.
These scales take weight loss to the next level. Whether you’re a fitness guru who’s training for an event or someone who just wants to monitor weight loss more closely, they will definitely help you track your journey.
As a precautionary measure, this product is not recommended for people fitted with a pacemaker.
Pros: Interesting stats, tables and charts; helps track progress for dieting or training.
Cons: Slightly dull screen, BMR reading does not take activity level into account. (Posted on 30/07/2010)
