Ste Perfect for weighing both food ingredients and liquids, I bought these scales for my fiancee and she thinks they're great. Nice, simple LCD display and buttons. Zero/Tare function is the best thing ever. Recommended for anyone who wants a scale that does what you expect, and has a nice big bowl too. Oh, don't forget the great price as well. Brilliant!
D Pout You switch it on and it tells you the weight of things. You put a bowl on, zero whichever flavour of weight you have chosen (it always goes back to the last one you used), put the flour in, press zero, put the sugar in... you get the idea. Perfectly accurate and good for weighing letters before going to the post office. It also does away with finding the measuring jug as it can do liquids too. Any niggles? It doesn't like not being level, but most kitchens have level surfaces and it's my fault I chose to use it on an ancient butcher's block. And the weighing area is too small to accommodate my food processor bowl, so I have to use another bowl and transfer the contents. Otherwise, it's accurate, switches itself off if you leave it on and just needs a wipe with a cloth before being popped back in a drawer or on the cookbook shelf.
Tykelass I wanted some new scales to replace my 35 years old set that had finally given up the ghost. Chose these due to their simplicity and I couldn't have made a better choice, they are easy to use with a good sized bowl provided. Can be changed from lbs. ozs. to kgs. and grams at the press of a button, me being of the older generation I have them set to lbs.and ozs.! Lovely and compact and being Salter they should last me out.
R F Portlock A very accurate set of scales with features which are easy to use and are self explanatory. It can be switched from imperial to metric measurements with just the press of a button. The same with zeroing the readout if using other bowls or containers. An excellent piece of kit!
