The ElectroSamson Balance is a battery powered, hand held or suspended electronic digital balance, suitable for a wide variety of applications from poultry, game weighing, and fishing through to fire extinguisher and general purpose industrial suspended weighing.

Key features include kg/lb/oz switching, display hold, tare and auto shutoff to maximize battery life. Supplied complete with padded carrying pouch with belt clip and 1 x 9 volt battery.

I am a farmer and use the scales for calibrating some of our equipment. The scales are well made and reasonably priced and easy to use. I am pleased with the purchase. The 'zeroing' could be easier as the scales soon switch off. (Posted on 02/03/2012)

The scale has done exactly what was required so cannot be faulted for performance or quality. It also represented good value. I am using it for weighing mostly fertiliser to make up stock solutions for feeding strawberries. (Posted on 23/02/2012)

- Are these scales waterproof? My previous digital scales died when fishing in heavy rain. I need a new set that will put up with the wet. Would these do or are there other models that would suit me better?
- No the scales are definitely not waterproof, the scales would need to conform to a ingress protection rating which would need to be IP65 as minimum.
  
  For fishing we would suggest a hanging analogue scale if there is any danger of the scales get wet.
  
  The 235-6s being the most economical option.

- We purchased two sets of these balances a year ago. Do they need annual calibration?
- With most scale we recommend an annual calibration check to ensure that they are working within the tolerances required - especially in the case of product that is sold by weight.
